Astrological Compatibility: The Astrology of Relationship Part III: Synastry - Relationship Or Fling?
As I mentioned in Part II of my "Astrological Compatibility: The A taurus and capricorn of Relationship" series, the planets in astrology represent easy forces or needs that we all seek to express in our lives. The relative ease or tension in between planets in our personal chart and planets in our partner's chart determines how we will express these simple requirements inside the relationship. While using system of synastry we can understand exactly where our energies flow the smoothest and wherever there is going to be challenges for the natural expression of our energies.
To illustrate how synastry works in a true life relationship I've included a diagram of Elise and Tom's astrological charts. What we'll do is go through each in the individual planets and see that the planetary energies jobs out in their relationship and as a result how well they can balance these energies to obtain their individual requirements met.
Elise and Tom (not their genuine names, of course) were living together for about 30 years. Their relationship is an useful instance simply because in several methods they're extremely a variety of but yet they've accepted those differences and have made it jobs to your relationship.
Planet:---Elise:----Tom
Sun:-------Aries------Capricorn
Moon:-----Libra------Taurus
Mercury:--Pisces----Sagittarius
Venus:----Aries------Sagittarius
Mars:------Taurus----Libra
Jupiter:---Taurus----Aries
The Sun in an astrological chart represents our uncomplicated expression of our individuality and in this case our couple is very different. Her Aries Sun is very outgoing and bubbly though his Capricorn Sun tends to become somewhat conservative and stodgy. She's far more interested in late evenings out with buddies and he's much more interested in retiring to bed early. Either of these difficulties could be disastrous for many relationships but they jobs it out so each get what they need.
The Moon relates to our emotional conditioning and in a relationship has a lot to complete with our routine and how we like items being done. In Elise and Tom's situation both Moon signs (Libra and Taurus) are ruled by the entire world Venus. This gives a simple compatibility between the two of them about how they like their environment to be. Due to the fact Venus will be the entire world of adore and harmony they each like their property being visually aesthetic and strive to "make peace" with each other.
When we speak of Mercury, the "winged messenger", we believe of communication and in this area our couple has greater challenges. Her Mercury in Pisces tends to be more emotionally oriented and comfortable in that realm even though his Mercury in Sagittarius is additional jovial (like the mythological trickster) and tends to would like to retain points light and not "get heavy". Obviously in a relationship communication is an area of prime value and this trouble surely has been challenging for them.
Now Venus in their charts works pretty well! Each have Venus in fire signs so they've often been quite "hot" for each other, so to speak. One more aspect that contributes to what I would call "animal magnetism" among the two of them is their Moon/Mars inter-aspects. Mars, of course represents the desire we have to assert ourselves as well as the Moon represents our must be nurtured and to nurture others. As you'll be able to see from Tom and Elise's charts, his Moon is in the exact same sign as her Mars and her Moon is from the same sign as his Mars. This cross-compatibility in between these a couple of planets speaks of an incredibly strong need to be physically nurtured by a partner and they fit the bill for each other!
The Entire world Jupiter represents our need to expand our sense of ourselves and our self-imposed limitations. In Elise and Tom's charts they've especially strong Jupiter aspects. In quite a few charts even if couples have other stressful aspects, positive Jupiter aspect will over make up for that. As you'll be able to see, Elise's Sun in Aries is in the same sign as Tom's Jupiter and Tom's Sun in Capricorn is within the same element (earth) as Elise's Jupiter. What this ways is that over all else every of them supports another in expanding their sense of who they can be.
This aid also shows up in their Moon/Jupiter aspects. Although Elise's Moon in Aries is opposite (180 degrees apart) from Tom's Jupiter, Tom's Moon is in the same sign as Elise's Jupiter. What this methods is that underlying the relationship is a deep commitment to supporting every other emotionally so that even though it may be harder for them to discuss emotions intellectually (Mercury) there's a deep and abiding love for every other's emotional growth.
Of course that is just a brief think about the synastry or inter-relationship of Tom and Elise's charts. Much more might be said, but I think the main issue the following is that there's so significantly we can study about relationships through the lens of libra taurus compatibility, not just our relationships having a crucial other but with co-workers, friends, partners, and even our individual household members. For myself, understanding the "astrological dynamics" of my household and essential others has provided not just a lot of insight but also many acceptance.
