Potential employers do not care too much about academic qualifications. They would rather hire a self-taught talent than one with all the top degrees but no demonstrated skills. In Asia, the top animation schools are in Japan and Korea. Some follow the Japanese anime style. They teach in Japanese or Korean, and therefore less accessible to international students unless they are prepared to learn Japanese or Korean. There are reportedly up to 1,000 schools in China offering animation related programs but the quality is uneven.
